Save the date! This year's Survivors Memorial Fund Golf Tournament will be held on Monday, July 17th at the SeaCliff Country Club, which is situated less than a mile from the Pacific Ocean, not far from the historic Huntington Beach Pier. The club boasts a magnificent J. Press Maxwell-designed championship layout; an array of golf, tennis, fitness, dining and social amenities; and the personalized service and exclusive privileges that have earned it recognition among the finest private clubs in Orange County.

The Survivors Memorial Fund Golf Tournament is the primary financial source for the memorial fund. Without the success of this annual event the Survivors Memorial Fund would not be able to continue providing the level of financial support to the families of our fallen officers that we are committed to provide.

End of Watch: February 23, 2017

On Wednesday, February 22nd Alameda County Sheriff’s Deputy Michael Foley was struck by an inmate transport bus at the Santa Rita jail. He was taken to the hospital after suffering head injuries from the accident where he died the next day. The accident occurred at approximately 6 A.M. on Wednesday morning while Deputy Foley was walking through the parking lot. In the dark, and with the wet asphalt from recent rains, the driver of the bus was unable to see Deputy Foley who was wearing dark, navy blue clothing. At the time of the accident the bus was leaving to pick up bagged lunches for the inmates and was traveling about 15mph. Deputy Foley was a 29-year veteran of the Concord Police Department. He had been hired on by the sheriff’s office in 2007, after his retirement.
