San Diego, CA - Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), San Diego
July 18 - 20, 2017

POST Certified Plan II – 24 hours
STC Certified 0648-002020

Originally developed over twenty years ago with a grant from OTS (Office of Traffic Safety), the CNOA DAR course consists of 24 hours of intensive training on the effects of abusing drugs in the eight major Drug Categories, including alcohol, designer and prescription drugs. Through lecture, demonstration, practical exercises and testing, students will learn to identify the symptoms of persons suspected of being under the influence and driving while impaired. Over 9000 California students have received CNOA DAR Training.

In cooperation with the California Highway Patrol Impaired Driving Unit, the CNOA DAR curriculum now meets the course requirements for Advanced Roadside Impaired Driving Enforcement, (ARIDE).

Note: The ARIDE program was developed by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) with input from the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP), to address the gap in training between the Standardized Field Sobriety Testing (SFST) and the Drug Evaluation and Classification (DEC) Program.

Students completing the CNOA 24-hour DAR Training Course must also have attended a 16 Hour Standardized Field Sobriety Testing course to be eligible for an ARIDE Training Certificate of Completion from the CHP. If you attended the SFST course through CNOA we will automatically mail you an ARIDE certificate. If you attended the SFST course through another agency you can email or fax us a copy of your certificate. If approved we will mail you an ARIDE certificate. This is an excellent class for narcotic officers, traffic officers, patrol officers, and probation and corrections officers.
