This highly interactive, hands-on course focuses on addressing your agencies rim trends through the use of electronic stakeout equipment. Students will learn the latest practices for deploying “bait” property in a manner to specifically address crime trends in their communities. This is an excellent course for agencies currently using or considering GPS “bait” programs. This course is designed for officers, supervisors, investigators, and administrators. Students will gain a thorough understanding of implementing cost-saving and effective electronic stakeout programs to use a “Force multiplier” in the apprehension of criminals.

Instructor: Travis Martinez

Lt. Travis Martinez, a 22 year veteran of the Redlands Police Department, currently commands the Investigations/ Narcotics/Gangs/Community Policing/ Air Support and Forensics units. Lt. Martinez’ implementation of electronic stakeout programs have resulted in over 60 arrests for robbery, burglary, bike and metal theft. Lt. Martinez brings contemporary experience, successes and lessons learned into the classroom for a dynamic , real-world learning environment.
