Description

This is an 8 hour class on the tragic terror event that occurred on December 2, 2015. Sgt. Schuelke will be assisted by members of the San Bernardino Police Department reviewing the attack of the Inland Regional Center in San Bernardino, CA perpetrated by Syed Rizwan Farook and Tashfeen Mailik.

The instructors will provide an overview of the perpetrators planning, attack and eventual encounter with SBPD’s Narcotics Unit. The class will end with a “Lessons Learned” debrief.

Instructor: Gary Schuelke

Sgt. Schuelke has been employed with the City of San Bernardino Police Department for 24 years. He has had assignments, as a patrol officer, Bicycle Mounted Enforcement Team, Narcotics, Narcotics K- 9, Crimes Against Children Detective and Homicide Detective. He was promoted to Sergeant in 2006. He has supervised various proactive/specialized details such as Crime Impact Team, District Resource Officers and Patrol Division. He has been assigned as the Vice/ Narcotics Supervisor since November 2012. On December 2, 2015 members of the Narcotics Unit were involved in identifying, locating and capturing the two suspects responsible for the terrorist attack on the Inland Regional Center.
