2014 Membership Renewals

2014 marks CNOA’s 50th year of outstanding customer services and high quality training. Since 1964, CNOA has been recognized as the largest Association of its type providing the most comprehensive quality law enforcement training in the country. We take pride in being able to present the specialized training that YOU, our member, have requested regionally and throughout the state. Over the course of the last few years our association has experienced increased costs in ensuring that we continue to provide the quality training that you as our members have come to expect. Your membership is vital in helping us to continue to provide the training. We truly appreciate your continued membership and support, and as we move forward in 2014, we are excited to be able to present our 50th anniversary Training Institute in Anaheim, CA.

2014 Survivors' Memorial Fund Golf Tournament

Registration for the 18th Annual Tournament benefiting the CNOA Survivor's Memorial Fund is now open! All proceeds will assist the families of California Law Enforcement officer's who have lost their lives in the line of duty.

This years tournament will be held at Old Ranch Country Club, which features 28 acres of water and a beautifully manicured 6,831 yard, par 72 layout.

Happy 2014!

Thank you to all those who attended the 49th Annual Training Institute in Sparks, Nevada. You helped wrap up a successful year of training with a very successful training institute! President Munoz and your Executive Board worked very hard to bring you the best training event possible. A special thanks to all those who helped support the Narcotic Educational Foundation of America (NEFA), and the CNOA Survivor's Memorial Fund (SMF), with donations and participation in their fundraising events. Congratulations to the CNOA Award and Scholarship Winners!

The 49th Annual Training Institute brought a few new changes that we hope those of you who attended were able to take advantage of such as:

The CNOA Staff and Directors work tirelessly to make your experience as a Member worth it! We hope that as we approach our 50th Anniversary in 2014, you will continue to support the association. In turn, and as always, we will commit to bringing you the finest law enforcement training ever and to represent you and your concerns for narcotic law enforcement throughout the state and country.

As we move forward into 2014, we will be sending more information on upcoming training and very importantly, the 50th Anniversary CNOA Training Institute November 22-25, 2014 at the Hilton Anaheim in Anaheim , CA. (SAVE THE DATE!)

Legalized Marijuana and Idaho

The legalization of marijuna does not just impact states where it has been legalized. It in also having an effect on neighboring states.

Its recent legalization in states bordering Idaho is now being felt in that state.

"The biggest thing is somebody that goes to one of these where its (marijuana) is legal , they buy it, they smoke it or whatever and then they come back to our state and they wonder why they’re getting in trouble for it, we’ll it’s because it’s still illegal in this state," explains Drug Recognition Expert Sergeant Winas in this KPVI News 6 story.

2014 Sergeant at Arms Election Results

Rachel Capello has been elected as the 2014 Sergeant at Arms.

Congratulations Rachel! Rachel was sworn in as "Sergeant at Arms" at the 49th Annual CNOA Training Institute. The ceremony took place at the "Installation Banquet" on Sunday, November 24th, 2013.

CNOA Wins POST Award
Valencia, CA - The California Narcotic Officers' Association (CNOA) was awarded the 2010 Peace Officer Standards in Training (POST) Excellence in Training award in the Organizational Achievement category on February 24, 2011. The POST Excellence in Training Award was established in 1994 to encourage innovation, quality, and effectiveness of peace officer training in order to recognize outstanding law enforcement trainers. Each year, the Commission recognizes two individuals and one organization who have greatly contributed to the success and effectiveness of the law enforcement community.
